This week long workshop is sponsored by the Great
Lakes Maritime Research Institute and co-sponsored by
The Maritime Academy of Toledo and The Maritime
Foundation.  
Forty spaces are available for teachers to register for this
course, which explores the historical, economical and
environmental aspects of Great Lakes shipping including
invasive species, aquatic capture, hands-on vessel skill
development  via radar, navigation, and engine room the
S.S. Willis B. Boyer Freighter, Maumee River Shipping
Chanel, Maumee Bay, the Western Basin and South Shore
of Lake Erie, and meet with industry representatives (U.S.
Maritime Museum.

site of the Foundation's training
classrooms, , dining hall, fitness sauna,

and one radar simulator for training
Maritime Academy Students,
recreational boaters, and maritime career
professionals
