The Maritime Academy
of Toledo Foundation,
trade-named The
Maritime Foundation,
is a
teaching, training,
and service-based  
organization.
The mission of The Maritime Foundation is to support  
the integration of with a particular focus on The
Maritime Academy of Toledo and other  K-12 Elementary
themes, The Maritime Foundation ensures that  students
have an opportunity for lifelong success by developing
reading, writing, math, and science competencies using a
hands-on, interactive, and technology-based approach to
K-12 instruction and tutoring programs for students
most at risk.   

The Maritime Foundation is funded through local, state,
and federal grants, industry supporters  involved in all
aspects of maritime and intermodal transportation, and
through its training and education programs focused on
professional mariner career development, teacher/trainer
career development, K-12 reading and math tutorial
services, and recreational boater education.

The Maritime Training and
Education Center (MTEC) is the
main campus which houses The
Maritime Foundation (right) and
The Maritime Academy of
Toledo (left).    


The Academy boasts of training
classrooms, dining hall, fitness

center,
sauna, hot tub, swimming
pool,
movie theater, and
business class overnight
accommodations.  

The Foundation is the site of the
Navigation, Radar, and Engine
Room Simulators.
The Bridge of the Navigation
Training Simulator
 
used for training Career Tech
Students, recreational boaters, and
maritime career professionals
